Macedon Lodge For Sale

Wednesday, 5th February 2014

Lloyd Williams will relocate his multimillion-dollar thoroughbred training operation to the Mornington Peninsula after announcing his Macedon Lodge property is for sale, reports smh.com.au. The leviathan owner cited "family reasons" for the decision. "It was a difficult decision but the properties on the peninsula give the opportunity to replicate the facilities at Macedon Lodge in a location that is central to the family's activities and will allow for future generations of the family to become more involved in the operation on a day to day basis," Williams said. Macedon Lodge is arguably one of Victoria's best horse training properties, covering more than 300 acres in the foothills of Mount Macedon about 45 minutes north of Melbourne's CBD. Over the last decade, it has produced two Melbourne Cup winners (Green Moon and Efficient) and a Caulfield Cup winner (Fawkner) among a host of Gr1 titles.
