Oaks Looks Made To Order For Filly
The Chris Waller-trained filly Made To Order (Commands-Making Fey, by Zabeel) announced herself as a serious autumn carnival prospect when easily dispatching her rivals in the Big Sports Breakfast Handicap (1400m) at Warwick Farm yesterday. The 3YO daughter of Commands, who was an unlucky runner-up on debut at Kembla Grange two weeks ago, showed that run was a mere aberration when finishing strongly from midfield to score a stylish 2-length victory. Waller believes Made To Order, who is a half-sister to Gr1 QTC TJ Smith Classic winner Apercu (Encosta de Lago), will develop into a lovely staying filly in the autumn and nominated the $1 million ATC Oaks as a suitable target. "She is a very nice filly. She is an autumn horse, when you are talking about $1 million Oaks'…," he said. "She's a very big horse but she's got some depth once we get to the bottom of her. I'd say she would have one more run this preparation and then we could look at the autumn. She has definitely got staying ability." Made To Order is owned by Dynamic Syndications, which purchased her for $110,000 at the 2012 Inglis Sydney Easter Yearling Sale from the draft of Yarraman Park.
