Waller Avoids Penalty At Hearing
At a hearing conducted on Friday by Racing NSW Stewards, leading Sydney trainer Chris Waller was deemed to be an innocent party after 4 horses trained by him returned positives to ibuprofen. According to theage.com.au, the enquiry found "Waller had no case to answer after stewards agreed he took every possible measure to ensure feed consumed by his horses contained no prohibited substances", also claiming "the contamination happened during the manufacturing process of the feed and the feed company was making experimental products containing Ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory".
