Inglis Aust Broodmare Day-2: $190K Legal Consent
As with Day-1 of the 2013 Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale, a daughter of breed-shaper Danehill topped the second day's proceedings at Inglis' Randwick Sales' headquarters. Legal Consent (Danehill-Fancy Miss, by Sir Tristram) fell to the $190,000 bid of William Inglis as agent from the draft of Evergreen Stud. Already the dam of Gr1 WA Derby winner Dreamaway (by More Than Ready), as well as Listed winner and Gr1 Kingston Town Classic placed New Spice (by Old Spice), Legal Consent boasts 4 winners so far from her first 6 runners. From stakes-winner Fancy Miss, a three-quarter sister to stakes winner Chiming Knight, Legal Consent is a half-sister to dual Gr1 winner Miss Margaret (by Marscay) who saluted in both the Gr1 VRC Chrysler Stakes and Gr1 South Australian Oaks. Miss Margaret herself has been a prolific source of black type, headlined by her Gr2 Karrakatta Plate-winning son Confront (by Bluebird) and Gr3 Kindergarten Stakes winning colt Dances On Stars (by Snitzel). She was sold in foal to champion sire Lonhro.
