Werribee Unavailability Forces Ocean Park Rethink

Wednesday, 19th December 2012

Gary Hennessy, trainer & co-owner of Gr1 Cox Plate-winning galloper Ocean Park, is likely to start Ocean Park in New Zealand in preference to Australia en-route to a Dubai World Cup Carnival campaign. According to theinformant.co.nz, Hennessy's decision has been prompted by "the unavailability of the Werribee quarantine facility." Hennessy commented: "Things got a bit complicated and I've decided that rather than head to Dubai in time for a lead-up run before the Duty Free, he can do that from home... That way he can have a trial or a couple of exhibition gallops before Otaki, then fly to Dubai via Sydney with enough time to get over the trip and line up in the Duty Free."
