Tattersalls Dec Foal Day-3: 500,000 Guineas Galileo Colt
A colt by champion Coolmore sire Galileo topped the session when falling to the bid of Sheikh Fahad for 500,000 guineas. Doing the bidding himself, with regular bloodstock advisor David Redvers in close attendance, Sheikh Fahad saw off Aran Bloodstock's David Ryan to land the full-brother to 2010 Gr1 English Derby runner-up At First Sight. Happy with his purchase, Sheikh Fahad (best known in Australia as the owner of Dunaden) commented: "He's the type of colt who could easily make a million as a yearling, so I'm very happy to be able to buy him for 500,000 guineas now. He really caught my eye and he kept improving every time I looked at him..."
