Adebisi Wins George Moore Stakes

On the Australian track, deceased former Raheen Stud stakes-winning & Gr1-placed stallion Shovhog (Danehill-Startling Lass, by Luskin Star) added a group success when front-running 4YO gelding Adebisi (Shovhog-Hell For Leather, by Sanction) scored a half-length victory in the $200,000 Gr3 George Moore Stakes (1200m) at Doomben in Brisbane. Adebisi (ridden by Paul Hammersley for trainer Desleigh Forster) defeated 5YO entire Latin News (Hussonet-Email Me, by Danehill) & 4YO entire Spirit Of Boom (Sequalo-Temple Spirit, by Special Dane). Adebisi (a $15,000 yearling consigned by Raheen at the 2009 Magic Millions January Sale) now has 6 wins (also including 2010's Listed Gold Edition Plate over 1200m at Doomben) & 4 placings (including 2010's Listed Ken Russell Memorial Classic over 1200m at the Gold Coast) from 21 starts for $471,000 earnings.
