Rodder Appeal Successful At Vic RAD

Victoria’s Racing Appeals & Disciplinary Board yesterday overturned the controversial 6-weeks suspension handed to apprentice Talia Rodder by Racing Victoria stewards for “failing to give Serene Tanie the opportunity to obtain the best possible placing” at Moonee Valley on November 19. RAD Board chairman Judge Russell Lewis noted the rule wasn't meant to punish 3kg apprentices for an “error of judgment”. After the decision, Victorian Jockeys' Association committeeman Chris Symons told The Herald-Sun: "There will be a lot of relief among the boys & girls.”
