Choisir Adds UK Gr2

Also in the UK overnight, multiple Gr1-winning shuttler & former star Australian sprinter Choisir (Danehill Dancer-Great Selection, by Lunchtime) added a juvenile group success (& 32nd individual stakes-winner world-wide) when front-running Irish-bred colt Chandlery (Choisir-Masai Queen, by Mujadil) scored a 1-length victory in the £60,000 (A$90,000) Gr2 Vintage Stakes (7 furlongs) for 2YOs at Goodwood. Chandlery (ridden by Richard Hughes for trainer Richard Hannon) defeated French-bred colt Rockinante (Rock Of Gibraltar-Nantes, by Night Shift) & US-bred colt Red Duke (Hard Spun-Saudia, by Gone West). Chandlery was a £88,000 (A$132,000) yearling at the 2010 Doncaster Bloodstock August Sale. Overall he now has 2 wins & a runner-up (in last start’s Gr2 Superlative Stakes over 7 furlongs at Newmarket on July 9) from 4 starts for £50,164 (A$75,200) earnings.
