Canada Horse-Of-Year Biofuel Retired

Following her 3rd placing behind Embur’s Song at Woodbine, trainer Reade Baker announced overnight that last season’s Canadian Horse-Of-The-Year Biofuel (Stormin Fever-Ms Cornstalk, by Indian Charlie) has been retired after “chipping her sesamoid during the race”. Kentucky-bred Biofuel (owned by Airdrie Stud principal Brereton Jones) retires with 6 wins (including Canada’s Gr3 Mazarine Stakes & Gr3 Selene Stakes) & 3 placings (including both the US Gr1 Mother Goose Stakes & US Gr1 Coaching Club American Oaks) from 13 starts for US$781,091 earnings.
