King's Best Adds UK Black-Type

Former shuttler King's Best (Kingmambo-Allegretta, by Lombard) added a UK black-type success when favoured 4YO mare Sajjhaa (King's Best-Anaamil, by Darshaan) scored a 2-lengths victory in the £35,000 (A$52,500) Listed Lyric Stakes (10.5 furlongs) for fillies & mares at York. Sajjhaa (ridden by Frankie Dettori for trainer Saeed Bin Suroor) defeated fellow 4YO mares Myplacelater (Where Or When-Star Welcome, by Most Welcome) & Irish-bred Contredanse (Danehill Dancer-Ahdaab, by Rahy). Sajjhaa now has 4 wins (also including 2010’s Italian Gr3 Premio Sergio Cumani over 1600m at San Siro & UK Listed Dick Hern Fillies Stakes over 8 furlongs at Bath) & 2 runners-up (in May’s UK Gr3 Middleton Stakes over 10.5 furlongs at York & 2010’s UK Listed Rosemary Stakes over 8 furlongs at Ascot) from 9 starts for £116,000 (A$174,000) earnings.
