All Friared Up Wins Beaufine Stakes

Durham Lodge Thoroughbred Stud's Gr1 Victoria Derby winner Blackfriars (Danehill-Kensington Gardens, by Grosvenor) added a black-type success (& 15th individual stakes-winner) when 3YO filly All Friared Up (Blackfriars-Proto's Path, by Protos) scored a 0.75-length victory over her older rivals in the $80,000 Listed Beaufine Stakes (1000m) at Belmont Park. All Friared Up (also ridden by Jason Whiting for trainer Stan Bates) defeated favoured 4YO gelding Kid Choisir (Choisir-Friendly Seas, by Mister C) & 5YO gelding Shock Value (Key Business-Graceton, by Fimiston). All Friared Up now has 7 wins & 1 placing (including 2010’s Listed Burgess Queen Stakes over 1400m at Ascot) from 10 starts for $254,700 earnings.
