1st Winner For US Freshman Sire Silver Wagon

US multiple Gr1-winner & millionaire 10-year-old freshman stallion Silver Wagon (Wagon Limit-So Ritzy, by Darn That Alarm) recorded his 1st winner when 2YO colt DC’s Mission (Silver Wagon-Mom's Day, by Din's Dancer) scored over 5.5 furlongs at Arapahoe Park in Colorado for trainer Scott Rollins. DC's Mission is 1 of 26 2YOs bred during Silver Wagon's single season in Kentucky at Hurricane Hall (when he stood for US$5,000); he moved to Empire Stud in New York in 2009 & stood the 2011 season at Vinery New York for US$6,500. On the track, Silver Wagon recorded 7 wins (4 graded-stakes, including both 2003's Gr1 Hopeful Stakes & 2007's Gr1 Carter Handicap at Aqueduct, plus the 2006 Gr3 Sport Page Breeders' Cup Handicap at Aqueduct & 2007 Gr2 General George Breeders' Cup Handicap at Laurel Park) & 9 placings (5 graded-stakes placings, including runner-up to Horse-Of-The-Year Ghostzapper in the 2005 Gr1 Metropolitan Handicap at Belmont Park & 3rd in the 2005 Forego Stakes) from 25 starts for US$1,162,193 earnings.
