Country Reel Adds French Black-Type

In France overnight, former shuttler Country Reel (Danzig-Country Belle, by Seattle Slew) added a juvenile black-type success (& 4th individual stakes-winner) when daughter Don’t Teutch (Country Reel-Simonkikou, by Panis) scored a 0.75-length victory in the €55,000 (A$74,000) Listed Prix Des Reves D’Or (1000m) for 2YOs at Vichy. Don’t Teutch (ridden by Christophe Lemaire for trainer David Smaga) defeated UK-bred filly Sotka (Dutch Art-Demerger, by Distant View) & fellow filly Louve Rouge (Gold Away-Loup The Loup, by Loup Solitaire). Don’t Teutch now has 2 wins & a placing from 4 starts.
