Scarf Wins Winter Stakes

Former Australian Racehorse-Of-The-Year & 11-time Gr1-winning World Champion Miler Lonhro (Octagonal-Shadea, by Straight Strike) added a black-type success (& 27th individual stakes-winner) when favoured 3YO gelding Scarf (Lonhro-Muffle, by Quest For Fame) scored by a long-neck against older rivals in the $100,000 Listed Winter Stakes (1500m) at Rosehill Gardens in Sydney. Scarf (ridden by Kerrin McEvoy for trainer Peter Snowden) defeated 4YO mare Devils Arcade (Snowland-Devilina, by Anabaa) & 5YO gelding Madibagold (Johannesburg-Aim For Gold, by End Sweep).
