Meandre Wins French Gr1 Grand Prix De Paris

In France overnight, Famille Rothschild’s home-bred colt Meandre (Slickly-Penne, by Sevres Rose) scored a 1.5-lengths victory in the €600,000 (A$810,000) Gr1 Grand Prix De Paris (2400m) for 3YOs at Longchamp. Meandre (ridden by Maxime Guyon for trainer Andre Fabre) defeated front-running UK-bred colt Seville (Galileo-Silverskaya, by Silver Hawk) & previously unbeaten fellow UK-bred colt Reliable Man (Dalakhani-On Fair Stage, by Sadler's Wells). Meandre took his record to 3 wins (also including May’s Listed Prix De L’Avre over 2400m at Longchamp) & 4 placings from 9 starts for €403,990 (A$582,000) earnings.
