Racing NSW Chairman Alan Brown Steps Down

Wednesday, 13th July 2011

Alan Brown announced yesterday that he was stepping down as chairman of Racing NSW, noting: “Racing NSW directors are appointed for fixed terms, so under good governance it makes sense for the Board to rotate its roles, positions & responsibilities. We have a very skilled Board that works well together & I look forward to building on our progress so far.” Accordingly the Board of Racing NSW unanimously resolved to appoint Alan Bell as chairman & Alan Brown as deputy chairman. Brown also noted: “I will remain on the Australian Racing Board, from which I also chair the Australian Pattern Committee & am the Australian delegate to the International Pattern Race forums.”
