Brett Scelly New NZTR Handicapper

NZ Thoroughbred Racing announced Brett Scelly has been appointed as a handicapper for a 12-month fixed contract. Scelly is a former senior handicapper for Racing NSW & NZTR chief executive Greg Purcell noted: “He will be an asset to our operation, not only bringing his experience of race form & performance to the role of handicapper, but also his regulatory & general racing knowledge. His principal role will be supporting the chief handicapper in a number of areas, including implementation of any handicapping initiatives which might come out of the 2011 NZTR Handicapping Review. Submissions on the Review close this Friday.”
