Timeform Rates So You Think "Best Export Since Phar Lap"

Tuesday, 12th July 2011

Timeform “ratings guru Gary Crispe maintains the historical significance of So You Think's UK wins has gone largely unnoticed” & believes So You Think “could be Australian racing's best equine export since Phar Lap” reported The Daily Telegraph. Crispe confirmed the champion's “ground-breaking efforts to win Gr1 races in Ireland & England in recent weeks are now being rated the most outstanding international performances by any Australian thoroughbred of the modern era”. Crispe “argues that despite the outstanding international achievements during the past 50 years from Australian champions such as Sailor's Guide, Strawberry Road, Better Loosen Up, Choisir, Elvstroem, Starcraft, Takeover Target, Haradasun & Starspangledbanner, none has managed to achieve what So You Think has accomplished”. So You Think's recent win over Workforce in the UK Gr1 Eclipse Stakes (10 furlongs) at Sandown “was the 1st time a galloper from outside Europe has won a major middle-distance race in England since US champ Reigh Court won the 1929 Coronation Cup”.
