Japan Yearlings: Average Up 31.5%
Overall the Day-1 gross revenue at the JRHA July Sale reached a new Japanese yearling session record of ¥4,726,000,000 (US$57.634m) which was up 49.6% on last year’s opening session. The average of ¥23,990,000 (US$292,000) was up 31.5% after 4 consecutive years of declines, while the clearance rate improved from 80.8% in 2010 to 84.5% this year.
