Japan Gr1 Star Dream Journey Retired To Stud

Japan’s multiple Gr1-winning 7YO entire & 2009 Champion Older Horse Dream Journey (Stay Gold-Oriental Art, by Mejiro McQueen) has been retired to stand at Shadai Stud Farm. Dream Journey (a brother to leading Japanese three-year-old Orfevre, the winner of this season's Japanese 2,000 Guineas and Derby) became Japan's top-rated horse in the World Rankings in 2009 when he won both the Gr1 Takarazuka Kinen (2200m) & Gr1 Arima Kinen (2500m); in addition during his career he also won the Gr1 Asahi Hai Futurity Stakes (1600m), Gr2 Sankei Osaka Hai (2000m), Gr3 Asahi Challenge Cup (2000m), Listed Kokura Kinen (2000m) & Listed Kobe Shimbun Hai (2400m), as well as placing in the Gr1 Tenno Sho-Spring (3200m), Gr2 Yayoi Sho (2000m), Gr2 Sankei Sho All Comers (2200m) twice, Gr2 Sankei Osaka Hai (2000m), Gr2 Nakayama Kinen (1800m), Gr2 Kyoto Kinen (2200m) & Gr3 Tokyo Sports Hai Nisai Stakes (1800m). He retires with more than A$9.75 million earnings.
