God Has Spoken Wins Strickland Stakes

On the Australian track, Durham Lodge Thoroughbred Stud's Gr1 Victoria Derby winner Blackfriars (Danehill-Kensington Gardens, by Grosvenor) added a group success when 4YO entire God Has Spoken (Blackfriars-Dolly Will Do, by Rubiton) scored a 1-length victory in the $125,000 weight-for-age Gr3 Strickland Stakes (2000m) at Belmont Park in Perth. God Has Spoken (ridden by Steven Parnham for trainer Neville Parnham) defeated 7YO gelding Battle Emblem (Second Empire-Mississippi Belle, by Marooned) & favoured fellow 7YO gelding King Kool Kat (King Cugat-Affaire En Or, by Dieu D'Or). God Has Spoken (a $41,000 yearling at the 2008 Magic Millions Perth Sale) now has 7 wins (also including 2010’s Gr3 R.J.Peters Stakes over 1500m at Ascot, plus 2009's Gr3 WA Sires Produce Stakes over 1400m at Ascot & Listed Aquanita Stakes over 1800m) at Ascot) & 5 runners-up (including 2010’s Gr3 Asian Beau Stakes over 1400m at Ascot & Listed J.C.Roberts Stakes over 1800m at Ascot, plus 2009's Gr1 Kingstown Town Classic over 1800m at Ascot) from 31 starts for $711,300 earnings.
