Former shuttler Elusive Quality (Gone West-Touch Of Greatness, by Hero's Honor) added a US black-type success when 4YO entire Beau Choix (Elusive Quality-Belle Cherie, by Belong To Me) scored by a nose in the US$60,000 Listed Rob N Gin Stakes (8.5 furlongs on turf) at Belmont Park. Beau Choix (ridden by Ramon Dominguez for trainer Barclay Tagg) defeated 5YO geldings Pocket Cowboys (Wild Event-Lotsa Sprinkles, by Thunder Puddles) & Boots Ahead (Storm Boot-Mostbeautifulsound, by Miswaki). Beau Choix took his record to 5 wins (also including 2010’s Listed Quick Call Stakes over 8 furlongs at Saratoga & Listed James Murphy Stakes over 8 furlongs at Pimlico) & 6 placings (including May’s Listed Island Sun Stakes over 8 furlongs at Belmont Park, plus 2010’s Gr1 Jamaica Handicap over 9 furlongs at Belmont Park & Listed Restoration Stakes over 9 furlongs at Monmouth Park) from 14 starts for US$246,219 earnings.
