Woorim Wins Glasshouse Handicap

Monday, 4th July 2011

Glenlogan Park stallion & former Australian champion 1st-season sire Show A Heart (Brave Warrior-Miss Sandman, by Regal Advice) added a black-type success when top-weighted 5YO gelding Woorim (Show A Heart-Wabble, by Canadian Silver) motored home from back in the field to score a 1.25-lengths victory in the $175,000 Listed Glasshouse Handicap (1400m) at the Sunshine Coast, to claim this race for the 2nd successive year. Woorim (ridden by Damien Browne for trainer Robert Heathcote) defeated fellow 5YO gelding Meet George (Rock Of Cashel-Jane Jetson, by Jetball) & 4YO gelding Phelan Ready (More Than Ready-Nancy Eleanor, by Blevic). Woorim (passed-in for $65,000 when consigned by Glenlogan Park as agent at the 2007 Magic Millions National Yearling Sale) now has 8 wins (also including May’s Gr3 BTC Sprint over 1350m at Doomben, plus 2010's Listed Glasshouse Handicap over 1400m at the Sunshine Coast) & 9 placings (including both 2010's Gr1 Patinack Farm Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes over 1400m at Caulfield & Listed Superstable Stakes over 1400m at Flemington) from 30 starts for $555,250 earnings.
