King's Best Adds UK Black-Type

Former shuttler King's Best (Kingmambo-Allegretta, by Lombard) added a UK black-type success when 5YO gelding Chiberta King (King's Best-Glam Rock, by Nashwan) scored by a nose in the £30,000 (A$46,000) Listed Coral Marathan (16.5 furlongs) for 4YOs & up at Sandown Park. Chiberta King (ridden by Jkimmy Fortune for trainer Andrew Balding) defeated Irish-bred 7YO entire Aaim To Prosper (Val Royal-Bint Al Balad, by Ahonoora) & Irish-bred 6YO entire Electrolyser (Daylami-Iviza, by Sadler's Wells). Chiberta King was a 30,000 guineas (A$48,000) yearling at the 2007 Tattersalls October Sale; he took his overall record to 5 wins & 4 runners-up from 21 starts for £90,186 (A$138,000) earnings.
