Ohio Legislature Passes Racetrack VLT Bill

We-Have-Seen-The-Future Update: Both houses of the Ohio General Assembly “passed legislation allowing racetracks to apply for video lottery terminal licenses” reported bloodhorse.com. The state tax on racetrack gaming machines would be set at 33.5%; it “will be up to the tracks, horsemen & breeders to determine how much revenue will go to the horse racing industry in the form of purses & breed development funds”. All 7 of Ohio’s racetracks (3 thoroughbred & 4 harness) “have indicated they want gaming machines”.
