McDonald Booked For Sydney Debut

Friday, 1st July 2011

Meanwhile trainer John O'Shea “has enticed New Zealand's champion apprentice James McDonald to make his Sydney debut at Randwick tomorrow week” reported The Daily Telegraph. O'Shea confirmed he approached McDonald after learning of the upcoming shortage of senior jockeys in the Sydney riding ranks, noting: “Tim Clark & Christian Reith will be on holidays, Corey Brown is suspended & Hugh Bowman is in England. So I've asked James to come over & have his 1st crack at Sydney. He will ride 3 for me - Vantage Point, Cantonese & Kiss 'N Chase.”
