Evidence was taken from licensed trainer John Ledger, registered owner David Strain & licensed pre-trainer Craig Dickson. Dickson was fined $5,000 for “presenting Muja Magic to race during the above mentioned period”. Strain was fined $5,000 for “being a party to Muja Magic being entered for & racing from a premises & being trained by a person that was not the holder of the necessary licence or permit to train”. Ledger pleaded guilty to “entering Muja Magic when that gelding was being trained by a person that did not hold the necessary licence or permit to train”; however stewards “determined not to impose a penalty, after taking into account his personal situation, the circumstances that led (to the offence) & his good record in the racing industry for over 40 years”.
