Holy Roman Emperor Adds Irish Gr3

Tuesday, 14th June 2011

In Ireland, dual Gr1-winning shuttler Holy Roman Emperor (Danehill-L'On Vite, by Secretariat) added a group success when consistent 3YO filly Banimpire (Holy Roman Emperor-My Renee, by Kris S) scored a 3-lengths victory against older rivals in the €82,500 (A$113,00) Gr3 Noblesse Stakes (12 furlongs) for fillies & mares at Cork. Banimpire (ridden by Kevin Manning for trainer Jim Bolger) defeated front-running 4YO mare Sense Of Purpose (Galileo-Super Gift, by Darshaan) & fellow 3YO mare Amazing Beauty (Galileo-Doula, by Gone West). Banimpire was a €52,000 (A$71,000) yearling at the 2009 Goffs Million Sale; overall she now has 5 wins (also including both May’s Gr3 Blue Wind Stakes over 10 furlongs at Naas & Listed Victor McCalmont Memorial Stakes over 9.5 furlongs at Gowran Park, plus April's Gr3 Ballysax Stakes over 10 furlongs at Leopardstown) & 2 placings (including March's Gr3 Park Express Stakes over 8 furlongs at The Curragh) from 10 starts for €206,268 (A$283,000) earnings.
