Tuesday, 7th June 2011

Also in Ireland overnight, former shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) added a black-type success (& 128th individual stakes-winner world-wide) when UK-bred 3YO filly Rose Bonheur (Danehill Dancer-Red Feather, by Marju) scored a 2-lengths victory against older rivals in the €42,500 (A$58,000) Listed Owenstown Stud Stakes (7 furlongs) at Naas. Rose Bonheur (ridden by Declan McDonogh for trainer Kevin Prendergast) defeated front-running 4YO mare Blaze Brightly (Big Bad Bob-Kristal's Paradise, by Bluebird) & 5YO gelding Barack (Pyrus-Morna's Fan, by Lear Fan). Rose Bonheur now has 3 wins & 3 runners-up from 7 starts.
