Kentucky 2YOs: US$625k Indian Charlie Colt
In the US auction ring early this morning (Australian time), John Moynihan (bidding on behalf of Jess Jackson's Stonestreet Stables) paid US$625,000 for a colt by Indian Charlie (out of A.P.Indy mare Teenage Temper) during initial action at the 1-day Keeneland April 2YOs-In-Training Sale in Lexington in Kentucky. The colt (consigned by Hartley-De Renzo Thoroughbreds as agent) is from the family of multiple Gr3-winner Pleasant Temper & clocked 10.2sec for 1 furlong in the pre-sale breeze-up session. The colt previously sold as a yearling for US$150,000 at the 2010 Fasig-Tipton August Sale.
