Lobb Elected Thoroughbred Breeders Aust President

Thursday, 11th December 2008

Former Woodlands Stud boss & now Darley Australia general manager racing & bloodstock Trevor Lobb has been unanimously elected president of Thoroughbred Breeders Australia (after acting in the role for 3 months following the resignation of John Messara). Lobb (who is also president of NSWTBA) noted: "A united & truly representative national organisation is essential to advancing the industry's interests. Our responsibility is to represent all breeders whatever their size or location. We are in constant contact with State & Federal Governments, the Stud Book & the sales companies on issues of concern to our members. These range from taxation & quarantine issues, through to skills shortages & the costs of buying & selling a horse. Anything of concern to our members is of concern to us."
