Hallmark Stud stallion Le Bec Fin (Tale Of The Cat-Romanee Conti, by Sir Tristram) notched his 1st stakes-winner when daughter Skirmish (Le Bec Fin-Jollify, by Kingdom Bay) gained the judge's decision over her male rivals in a 3-way photo-finish to the NZ$100,000 Gr2 NZB Wellington Thoroughbred Breeders Guineas (1500m) for 3YOs at Trentham. Skirmish (ridden by Robert Hannam for trainer Adrian Bull) scored by a long-neck from the gelding Indacool (Indian Danehill-Cool Strike, by Straight Strike) with a futher short-neck to fellow gelding Blakmandu (Storm Creek-Centora, by Stylish Century). Skirmish now has 2 wins & a placing from 4 starts for $67,075 earnings.
