Multiple Gr1-Winner Aljabr Moves To Canada Stud

Multiple European Gr1-winning & US-based 12-year-old sire Aljabr (Storm Cat-Sierra Madre) "will relocate to Ascot Stud in Ontario in Canada next season," reported racingpost.co.uk. Aljabr (whose dam Sierra Madre won France's Gr1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches) has spent the past 8 seasons at Shadwell Farm in Kentucky, this year at a US$5,000 fee. On the track, Aljabr won the UK Gr1 Sussex Stakes (in which he broke the Goodwood track record for 1 mile), UK Gr1 Lockinge Stakes & French Gr1 Prix de la Salamandre, plus 2nd I the UK Gr1 St James's Palace Stakes. Subsequently from 5 crops of racing age, Aljabr boasts 7 stakes-winners.
