Danehill Dancer Adds Irish Black-Type

Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer (Danehill-Mira Adonde, by Sharpen Up) added an Irish juvenile black-type success overnight when daughter What's Up Pussycat (Danehill Dancer-Sangita, by Royal Academy) snatched victory by a short-head against the males in the €55,000 (A$94,000) Listed Blenheim Stakes (6 furlongs) for 2YOs at The Curragh. What's Up Pussycat (ridden by Johnny Murtagh for trainer David Wachman) defeated US-bred filly Roof Fiddle (Cat Thief-Woodmaven, by Woodman) & fellow filly Ohiyesa (Noverre-Crohal Di San Jore, by Saddlers' Hall). Previously this season, What's Up Pussycat also finished 3rd in June's Irish Listed Saoire Stakes (6 furlongs) at The Curragh. Overall What's Up Pussycat now has 2 wins & 5 placings from 7 starts for £70,101 (A$147,000) earnings.
