Elusive City Adds French Gr3

Gr1-winning NZ Haunui Farm shuttler & 2002 French Champion 2YO Elusive City (Elusive Quality-Star Of Paris, by Dayjur) added a French juvenile group success when Irish-bred daughter Elusive Wave (Elusive City-Multicolour Wave, by Rainbow Quest) maintained her unbeaten record with a half-length victory in the €80,000 (A$136,000) Gr3 Prix Du Calvados (1400m) for 2YO fillies at Deauville. Elusive Wave (ridden by Christophe Lemaire for trainer Jean-Claude Rouget) defeated Ana Americana (American Post-Ana Marie, by Anabaa) & Queen America (American Post-Gandelia, by Ganges). Last month Elusive Wave became her sire's 1st stakes-winner when she won France's Listed Prix Roland De Chambure (1400m) at Longchamp. Overall she now has 3 wins from 3 starts for £53,195 (A$111,000) earnings.
