Deauville Yearlings Day-1: $884k Sadler's Wells Filly

Monday, 18th August 2008

Tom Goff of Blandford Bloodstock paid €520,000 (A$884,000) for a Sadler's Wells filly (out of Sunny's Halo mare Race The Wild Wind) consigned from Haras d'Etreham. The filly (whose dam Race The Wild Wind was a Gr1-winner) is a half-sister to Gr1-winning former Blue Gum Farm shuttler King Charlemagne & Goff told racingingpost.co.uk she will race in England for an undisclosed client, noting: "She was an absolute queen. She is by one of the greatest sires, who's just been pensioned, she's a half to a Gr1-winner & she's out of a Gr1-winner: what more could you want?"
