In the UK, ill-fated Coolmore shuttler & multiple champion sire Danehill (Danzig-Razyana, by His Majesty) added a Gr1 triumph when Ballydoyle's Irish-bred 4YO entire Duke Of Marmalade (Danehill-Love Me True, by Kingmambo) notched his 4th successive Gr1 victory this season with a half-length win in the £750,000 (A$1.575m) Gr1 King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes (12 furlongs) at Ascot.
