US Gr3 & SAf Gr2 Star Flying In To Hussonet

South African Gr2-winning & US Gr3-winning 5YO mare Alexandra Rose (Caesour-Alexandra Bi, by Darshaan) will be flown from Southern California to Australia next month to be mated with boom Arrowfield Stud stallion Hussonet (Mr Prospector-Sacahuista, by Raja Baba) reported SAHorseracing.com. In a deal arranged by leading South African agent Robin Bruss from Northfields Bloodstock, the offspring of the mating will be sold at auction as a yearling in Australia. As a 2YO in South Africa, Alexandra Rose won both the Gr2 Golden Slipper (1400m) against the males at Greyville & Listed East Cape Fillies Nursery (1200m) at Fairview. As a 3YO she finished runner-up in the Gr1 Cape Fillies Guineas (1600m) at Kenilworth & 3rd in the Gr1 Majorca Stakes (1800m) against older rivals at Kenilworth. Leaving South Africa she then finished runner-up as a 4YO in Dubai's Listed Cape Verdi Stakes (1600m) at Nad Al Sheba last year, before arriving in the US & beginning 2008 with victory in January's Gr3 Monrovia Handicap (6.5 furlongs) at Santa Anita.
