Wembley Wins Inglis Challenge

Lomar Park stallion Arena (Danehill-Lee's Bid, by Tawfiq) added a juvenile feature race success when front-running gelded son Wembley (Arena-Dazzling Dawn, by Splendent) scored a 1.75-lengths victory in the $80,000 2008 Inglis Challenge (1300m) for 2YOs at Scone. Favourite Wembley (ridden by Corey Brown for trainer Tas Morton) defeated the colt Lotseventy (Choisir-Grey Jest, by Rory's Jester) & filly Cloudcatcher (Catcher In The Rye-Cloudlet, by Zephyr Zip). Wembley (a $26,000 yearling at the 2007 Inglis/HTBA Scone Sale) now has 1 win & 3 placings (including both April's Listed Fernhill Handicap over 1600m at Randwick & Listed T.L.Baillieu Handicap over 1400m at Randwick) from 7 starts for $111,450 earnings.
