Rum Dum Wins Lord Mayor's Cup

Former Coolmore shuttler Peintre Celebre (Nureyev-Peinture Bleue, by Alydar) added a group success (& 34th stakes-winner world-wide) when 6YO gelding Rum Dum (Peintre Celebre-Mccartney, by Trustful) grabbed victory by a nose in the $100,000 weight-for-age Gr3 Lord Mayor's Cup (1615m) at Doomben. Rum Dum (ridden by Shane Scriven for trainer Barry Baldwin) defeated 5YO gelding Majorca (Encosta De Lago-True Believer, by Is It True) & favoured 8YO gelding Mitanni (Danewin-And A Hug, by Ivor Prince). Rum Dum (passed-in for $60,000 as a yearling at the 2003 Magic Millions Gold Coast Sale) now has 7 wins & 11 placings from 45 starts for $183,900 earnings.
