Formal Attire To Stand In WA

Wednesday, 28th November 2007

Stallion prospect Formal Attire (Danehill-Ruffles, by Zeditave) has been secured for stud duties in Western Australia, and will start his career for the 2008 season at a yet-to-be-announced property. Bred on similar lines to El Presidente's sire Dante's Fury, Formal Attire was a $600,000 yearling at the 2004 Inglis Easter Sale, and raced 9 times for 3 wins & 4 placings under the direction of leading trainer Brian Mayfield-Smith, who commented: "He had all the talent in the world. It's just a shame we never got to see his true ability." Formal Attire will be managed by Touchstone Farm which, in association with Bellbridge Park, Mungrup and Rangeview Studs, also stands Balestrini, Due Sasso, Flying Pegasus, Helenus and Natural Blitz. His introductory service fee for the 2008 breeding season will be announced in the new year.
