Schilling Wins Sandown Guineas

Monday, 19th November 2007

Swettenham Stud shuttler Bianconi (Danzig-Fall Aspen, by Pretense) added a group success when his colt Schilling (Bianconi-Meet My Sis, by Prized) prevailed in a 3-way photo-finish to the $400,000 Gr2 Sandown Guineas (1600m) for 3YOs. Schilling (ridden by Damien Oliver for trainer Mick Price) scored by a half-neck from fellow colt Masked Assassin (Danzero-Duk Duk, by Claudius) with a further short-neck to another colt Wind Shear (Flying Spur-Kajar, by Quest For Fame). Schilling (a $42,000 yearling at the 2006 Inglis Premier Sale in Melbourne) now has 3 wins & 2 runner-ups (including last start's Gr3 Inglis Carbine Club Stakes over 1600m at Flemington on November 3) from 6 starts for $314,320 earnings.
