Goffs Foals Day-1: $80k Trade Fair Colt
In the Irish auction ring overnight, agent Bobby O'Ryan paid the Day-1 top price of €50,000 (A$80,000) for a colt from the 1st crop of dual Gr3-winner & Gr1 Dewhurst Stakes 3rd-placed WA Evergreen Lodge shuttler Trade Fair (Zafonic-Danefair, by Danehill) during the opening session of the Goffs November Foal Sale at Kildare Paddocks. The colt (the 4th foal from a US Listed winner & a grandson of Zafonic) was consigned from Cooneen Stud & O'Ryan told racingpost.co.uk: "I thought that he was a cracking foal. He's got a great walk & he's just a very good individual. He's been bought on behalf of Rob Lloyd Racing & will be kept to race."
