Café Silver Wins Gr1 Uruguay Derby

In Uruguay, Café Silver (Cafetin-Potri Silver, by Potridoon) scored a 2.25-lengths victory in the Gr1 Gran Premio Nacional (Uruguay Derby & 3rd leg of the Uruguayan 3YO Triple Crown series) over 2500m at Maronas in Montevideo. Café Silver (ridden by N.Mieres for trainer Y.Davila) defeated Relento (Fahim-Little Colony, by New Colony) & Querubin GG (Gulpha Gorge-Fade Frisa, by Fadeyev). At previous starts Café Silver finished runner-up in both September's Gr1 Gran Premio Polla de Potrillos (Uruguayan 2000 Guineas & 1st leg of the Triple Crown) over 1600m at Maronas & October's Gr1 Gran Premio Jockey Club-Copa Nativa (2nd leg of the Triple Crown series) over 2000m at Maronas.
