Montjeu Adds UK Black-Type

Friday, 2nd November 2007

On the UK track overnight, dual-Derby winning Coolmore sire & former NZ Windsor Park shuttler Montjeu (Sadler's Wells-Floripedes, by Top Ville) added a black-type success when 3YO filly Loulwa (Montjeu-Refined, by Statoblest) scored a 0.75-length victory against older rivals in the £26,000 (A$62,000) Listed River Eden Stakes (13 furlongs on the all-weather track) for fillies & mares at Lingfield Park. Loulwa (ridden by Seb Sanders for trainer Jeremy Noseda) defeated fellow 3YO filly Market Forces (Lomitas-Quota, by Rainbow Quest) & 4YO mare Guilia (Galileo-Lesgor, by Irish River).
