1st Winner For US Freshman Sire Vindication

US 7YO freshman sire & 2002 Champion 2YO male Vindication (Seattle Slew-Strawberry Reason, by Strawberry Road) recorded his 1st winner when Galiano (Vindication-Gilded Minstrel, by Gilded Time) led all-the-way to score by 4-lengths over 5.5 furlongs at Lone Star Park in Texas, reported thoroughbredtimes.com. Vindication stands for US$60,000 at Hill 'n' Dale Farms in Kentucky & has 119 2YOs in his 1st crop. Vindication won each of his 4 starts as a 2YO, "closing his championship campaign with consecutive victories in the Gr2 Kentucky Cup Juvenile Stakes & Gr1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile; he was "knocked off the Triple Crown trail with a strained left front suspensory ligament before he could start as a 3YO in 2003" & was retired.
