Redoute's Dancer Wins Gr1 NZ Derby

In New Zealand, current Australian champion Arrowfield Stud sire Redoute's Choice (Danehill-Shantha's Choice, by Canny Lad) added a Gr1 triumph (& 10th individual Gr1-winner) when favoured Australian-bred daughter Redoute's Dancer (Redoute's Choice-Condescendance, by El Gran Senor) scored a half-length victory against the males in the NZ$700,000 Gr1 NZ Derby (2400m) for 3YOs at Ellerslie in Auckland. Redoute's Dancer (ridden by Vinny Colgan for Sydney trainer Tim Martin) defeated the colt Mettre En Jeu (Montjeu-Delgatie Queen, by Spectacular Love) & fellow filly Uberalles (Giant's Causeway-Ethereal, by Rhythm). Redoute's Dancer (a $230,000 yearling at the 2005 Magic Millions Premier Sale on the Gold Coast) took her record to 4 wins (also including last start's Gr2 Mercedes Championship Stakes over 2100m at Ellerslie on February 17) & 2 runner-ups from 7 races.
