US Gr1 Winner Mea Domina Retired & Heads To Bernardini

US Gr1-winning 6YO mare Mea Domina (Dance Brightly-Madame Pandit, by Wild Again) "has been retired from racing & is booked to Bernardini," reported bloodhorse.com. Mea Domina recorded 7 wins (including the 2005 Gr1 Gamely Breeders' Cup Handicap, 2006 Gr2 Palomar Breeders' Cup Handicap in a course-record 1min 39.67sec for 8.5 furlongs at Del Ma & the Gr2 Las Palmas Handicap) from 16 starts for US$744,628 earnings. US Champion Bernardini (the highest-priced stallion entering stud this year) began covered his 1st mares a week ago at Sheikh Mohammed's Darley in Kentucky. Bernardini (A.P.Indy-Cara Rafaela, by Quiet American) was 2006 champion 3YO male for breeder-owner Darley & his 2007 stud fee is US$100,000.
