Darci Brahma To Stand At NZ$30,000

NZ's 5-time Gr1-winning 4YO entire Darci Brahma (Danehill-Grand Echezeaux, by Zabeel) will stand for NZ$30,000 in his initial season this year at The Oaks Stud in Cambridge, reported NZ Thoroughbred Marketing. Darci Brahma (a NZ$1.1 million at the NZB 2004 National Yearling Sales at Karaka) headed the NZ 2YO & 3YO Free Handicaps & retired last week with 10 wins (including his final start in the Gr1 Waikato Draught Sprint over 1400m at Te Rapa on February 10 & last month's Gr1 Telegraph Handicap over 1200m at Trentham, plus Australia's Gr1 T.J.Smith Classic as a 2YO in Brisbane, last season's Gr1 NZ 2000 Guineas over 1600m at Riccarton Park & Gr1 Otaki-Maori Weight-For-Age over 1600m at Otaki, as well as the Gr2 Hawke's Bay Guineas over 1400m at Hastings & Gr2 Wellington Thoroughbred Breeders' Guineas over 1500m at Trentham) & 5 placings (including runner-ups in the 2006 Gr1 Waikato Draught Sprint over 1400m at Te Rapa, 2006 Gr1 Mudgway Partsworld Stakes over 1400m at Hastings, 2006 Gr1 Stoney Bridge Stakes over 1600m at Hastings & 2006 Gr1 Australian Guineas over 1600m at Flemington) from 19 starts.
